Welcome to the Darlington County Community Action Agency's Head Start/Early Head Start Program!
Darlington County Community Action Agency's Head Start program is designed to improve the educational, emotional, social, and physical well-being of families and children ages birth to five. The health and nutrition aspects of the program have improved the prevention, detection, and treatment of children's medical, dental, and nutritional needs. A needs assessment determines families' health, educational, nutrition, and social needs.
Darlington County Community Action Agency's Head Start program has established collaborative partnerships with various community organizations and agencies. These collaborative partnerships have helped make existing resources more readily available to children and their families. Parents are directly involved in the program as volunteers, recipients of training, and participants in program planning and policy making.
